SoPen offers training programs for middle and high school boys in two groups: Intermediate and Advanced. SoPen coaches will assign players to these groups.
Advanced
Advanced players are ages 15 to 19 and are experienced, national caliber players. Most players in this group play year round for club programs as well as on their high school team. This group trains at the level of the top 5 teams in CCS and the top 20 high school programs nationally.
Intermediate
Intermediate players are ages 13 to 18 and are less experienced than the Advanced group, still fine-tuning their fundamentals and developing an understanding of strategy and positioning. Because all SoPen participants play at a high level, this group does not include true beginners.
The Bowen Goalie Camp, the premier goalkeeper training program in the country, and the Summer Goalkeeper Focus programs are offered (separately from SoPen) by our head coach, Jack Bowen. Contact him directly for more information: jbowen@menloschool.org.
